| 3M PURPLE CUBITRON CARTRIDGE ROLLS 3M's patented Cubitron ceramic aluminum oxide abrasive sharpens itself during use. After initial grinding, the abrasive grains fracture along micro fissures to create new cutting surfaces. This process continues throughout the grinding. The result is an abrasive that lasts 2-4 times longer than traditional aluminum oxides (depending on the grit). You will have faster removal of material with less heat and "loading" (debris build up on the abrasive itself). When you want the "best" coated abrasive for grinding and sanding metal, wood, plastic and other materials, just look for purple; 3M Cubitron purple! Great for deburring and polishing with your flexshaft. With cartridge rolls, you must use a special mandrel. As the abrasive wears down, simply unravel and expose more. Grit: 100 |
