Thin Oval Embosser Chasing Tool 1/4" by Saign Charlestein
A beautifully finished chasing tool. Made from A-1 tool steel and kiln heat treated to a hardness of 60 hRc, it is then precisely polished and shipped with a coating of wax to protect the surface from the elements. The result is arguably one of the most beautiful tools you will purchase.
The thin oval embosser is used to create thin oval depressions in your chasing and repousse piece. It is great for pushing ropes, scrolls, and other long and thin elements.
Each tool is 1/4" in diameter and 4-3/8" long. The length will not only accommodate larger hands, but can make the tools more versatile on larger work pieces.
The 1/4" tools is Saign's "M" size. This is the most common size of chasing tools and great size to start your collection.
Note: Tools can be slightly altered by the user if to meet personal preference. If you do so,DO NOT exceed 500°F (260°C) in temperature or heat the tools to they point that they change color.
