This economy steel mandrel is great for forming and shaping solid bangles. The steel construction makes it perfect for heavy work. This mandrel is 9" long including the 1-7/8" tang that can be held in a vise.
The steps are very handy for wider items since each one is the same size without a taper. This gives a more uniform size to your finished piece.
The 4 step are approximately 1-3/4" wide.
The circumference of the steps are 6", 7", 8-1/4", 9".
The diameters of the steps are approximately 2-3/4",2-1/2", 2-1/4", and 2" (widest part).
Note that although the mandrel is steel, it is not solid. It would be insanely heavy if it were.
