DELRIN MALLET with FLAT FACE and CROSS PEEN
Great for use with a sinusoidal stake. The Delrin head is very durable and non-marring. This makes it perfect for forming and shaping non-ferrous metals on a stake.

One face of the mallet is flat; the other is a cross peen. The cross peen is a very popular shape for use with a sinusoidal stake.

Head length: 5-7/8"
Face #1: Flat 1-1/2" dia.
Face #2: Rounded cross peen 1-1/2" x 1/4"

Plastic  vs.  Nylon  vs.  Delrin
The properties of plastic, nylon and Delrin are very similar.  In general, plastic is the harder and more unforgiving of the three.  Nylon and Delrin have similar properties.  Nylon is very strong and can handle impacts.  It can, however,  mushroom over time.  It can also fragment rather than wear down.  Delrin is an acetal resin made by DuPont.  Delrin is very strong and rigid.  It has a high resistance to repeated impacts.  Delrin will tend to wear away instead of cracking or shattering.
