MIXED STAINLESS STEEL SHOT

A fast form of tumbling media used to burnish (pounding metal on metal) metal to a mirror bright finish.  The shot is of uniform size and shape. 

This mixture of shot is a combination of 4 different shapes,  1/8" (3.2mm) balls, 1/32"x5/16" (1x7mm) pins, 1/8"x5/16" (3.2x7mm) diagonals, 7/32"x5/32" (5x4mm) ballcones for maximum coverage of a wide variety of pieces.  You must use burnishing compound with steel shot. 

For almost all applications, it is the only shot combination you'll ever need. Stainless steel requires only occasional cleaning and gives great uniformity. Because it is stainless steel, it is rust and corrosion resistant and able to stand up to strong compounds. It is much more corrosion resistant that its carbon steel counterpart, but that doesn't mean that it won't rust if not properly taken care of.  Cleaning and storing your shot carefully will always extend its life.
