Make your own castings without a fancy foundry.
Delft Clay is a fine, reusable casting sand used to create detailed metal castings right at your bench. You press an original object (like a wax model, charm, or small part) into the clay to make a mold, then pour molten metal into the cavity to create an exact duplicate. The ultra-fine texture captures crisp detail, while the two-part molding process keeps cleanup simple.
Perfect for hobbyists or jewelers who want to cast small parts, charms, and components in silver, bronze, or other soft metals without needing large, expensive casting equipment.
1. Pack one half of the aluminum ring mold with Delft clay
2. Press your original model into the clay
3. Dust the mold with separating powder to ease release of the model
4. Place the other half of the ring on the first one and fill with clay
5. Tap firmly with a rubber mallet to firm it around the model
6. Open the mold and remove the model
7. To cast, cut a sprue channel through the clay and pour in molten metal.
8. Within minutes, the original is finished with little finishing required.
