When not in use, this regulator should be properly shut off by turning the pressure adjusting screw counter-clockwise until closed. If the pressure adjusting screw is in the open position when the cylinder valve is opened, the surge of high pressure may damage the regulator. This commonly occurs when using high pressure fuel cylinders. To protect your regulator, follow Uniweld's operating instructions.
