Split top bails (sometimes called rabbit ear bails) are a very traditional style of bail.  They consist of 2 loops in a "V" shape, and the pendant is soldered to the point where the two loops meet.

This sterling silver bail measures 6.9mm tall x 5mm wide. It has an opening of 3.5mm and is closed on the bottom.

This bail features a heavier gauge wire.
