PLASTIC TUMBLING MEDIA - PYRAMIDS
This aluminum oxide abrasive media is a good cut-down or first step in the tumbling process. It gives a super-fast cut and is excellent for surface blending.
These light-green coarse grit pyramids are the third step in a 3-step "cut down" process. Coarse media is followed by medium grit media then followed by fine grit media. The end result will be a very even, very fine "satin" finish that is the perfect base for a final polish step. You can finish in your tumbler with steel media for a burnished look. You can tumble your pieces in rouge charged walnut shell for a bright, polished look. You can even hand polish on your buffing machine for that shiny, minor finish.
The media consists of tiny pyramid shapes that measure 1/4" (6.4mm). Sold in a 1lb. container.
