Aluminum oxide grit, bonded on paper backing, provides excellent results in sanding and smoothing.  The backing is flexible enough to allow accessibility to hard to reach places.  Use a 3/32" screw top mandrel (#43.128).

ALUMINUM OXIDE is widely used as a coarse and fine abrasive.   The most common form of aluminum oxide is called corundum.   Due to its hardness, it is a much less expensive substitute for industrial diamond abrasives.   Its low heat retention makes it ideal for grinding.
