The Brookfield Craft Center Video Library offers high quality instruction from nationally respected leaders in their field. The Complete Metalsmith video has been recognized as a standard in the field for its clarity, breadth, and professional production values. The video instruction is derived from McCreight's popular book of the same name, a book that has seen scores of printings and is currently in its third edition.
Like the book, the video consists of clearly identified chapters that cover joining, Forming, and Surface Techniques. After demonstrating many techniques in isolation, McCreight goes on to show the assembly of three specific pieces of jewelry to demonstrate the ways individual techniques are used in combination to complete a finished work. Tim's ability to organize information, combined with his relaxed teaching style provides a wealth of practical information in an easy to follow format. Educators have praised this video as "...a riveting and visually superior course in basic jewelry making:" The original high-resolution digital files are available now for the first time, providing not only great clarity, but the navigational benefits of thecurrent technology.
DVD format - Running time 70min.
