American Made 1lb Brass Hammer
This hammer was carefully design to provide superior balance, comfort and control.

Perfect to use on your disc cutter!

The head is a cast piece of solid brass that has been hand ground and finished.  The handle is Tennessee hickory that has been specially tapered, fire finished and coated with tough, non-slip urethane.

The total weight of the hammer is 1lb.  This means that is both easier to wield and less tiring to hold.  The long wood handle is incredibly sturdy.  The long hand allows you deliver more force with each hammer blow.  This means you have a lighter hammer that packs just as much "punch" as heavier ones.

This hammer looks better, feels better, handles better and is sturdier than any you'll find.

It's great for hammering ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It is also excellent for stamping and dapping. It's perfect for using on your disc cutter!

Hammer length:  Approximately 11-1/2" overall
Head size:  2-1/4" long
Face size:  7/8" diameter

Importance of Using a Brass Hammer
When using a disc cutter, design punches or other steel tools you should avoid using a jeweler's hammer, ball peen hammer, household hammer or any other steel hammer.  Using them can be dangerous.

Use a Brass Hammer instead.  When you strike a steel tool with a steel hammer, there is a great possibility that the impact can cause one or both of the tools to crack or shatter.  This will damage the tool and can send shards of metal flying.

A brass hammer is softer than the steel tool you will strike.  Because of this, the tools won't be damaged.  Yes, the brass hammer will get marred (it is supposed to) and brass can "rub off" on the struck end of the tool, but this is a small price for safety and keeping your tools in good condition.
