Aluminum oxide grit, bonded on special reinforced plastic backed discs. The heavy-duty backing of these discs increases their usefulness 2 to 3 times that of the paper backed discs. Use with the 3/32" snap-on mandrel (#10.740).
ALUMINUM OXIDE is widely used as a coarse and fine abrasive. The most common form of aluminum oxide is called corundum. Due to its hardness, it is a much less expensive substitute for industrial diamond abrasives. Its low heat retention makes it ideal for grinding.
