"My passion for all types of jewelry construction happened
quite by accident. My son, Bill, was out on deployment to
the middle-east and I was in beautiful California helping
my daughter-in-law with the care of Emma and Will, two of
my very active and lovable grandchildren. I needed a night
out and the local quilt shop (my hobby at that time) did not
have any interesting classes. In quaint La Mesa village
there is a bead shop, The Bouncing Bead , that caught my
attention. My curiosity kicked in and I signed up for a
class. The rest is history!"
Since that time Genny has attended
classes in Florida, New York and Georgia. She attended
the William Holland School for Lapidary Arts . There
under the guidance of Diane Mason she learned wire
wrapping techniques. Recently Genny has branched out into
silversmithing under the guidance of Dan Haga a master silversmith.
Her most recent class at Williamm Holland is advanced chain making taught by a master, Howard Siegel.
"I love teaching! I meet so many great people." Genny teach regularly in Fort Pierce, Florida
and at a variety of jewelry retreats in Florida, North Carolina & South Carolina.
She teaches many classes in chainmaille, beadweaving and wire wrapping (and just about anything you might want
her to teach!)
