| | ARTIST: Tom Davis ITEM: Diamond Smoke Stack Ring This item was made by melting casting grain into ingots and using a rolling mill to flatting the ingot before cutting the shank with a jewelers saw. Using silver tubing to form the bezels, they were then soldered to the shank and the whole piece polished to a mirror finish.

ITEM: Custom Coin Rings
He makes custom rings by 'recycling' various coins. The process used to transform the coin from a flat coin into a custom ring keeps most of the details of the coin in place.

ITEM: Happy Sand
Beach sand was added to our ice resin bezels to start this project. A thin layer of ice resin was then used to trap the sand. As it was thickening, before it became solid, several different findings, from gold beads and CZ's to copper chain and silver stampings were added to make the extra designs. All these items can be found in our Findings and Stones section on our website. Then the piece was topped with more ice resin and left until solid. The end result, a pendant set that can be worn for the serious or the fun occasion.

ITEM: Silver Clay Bird Skull
An actual bird skull was made from silver art clay that has been watered into a slip, (clay the consistancy of paint) and painted over the skull with a brush. This process was repeated several times to build up the layer of clay. Then the skull was Kiln fired, which disintigrated the skull with the binders and left only the final silver peice behind.

ITEM: Unakite & Silver Pendant
I recently utilized some good FDJ Sterling 1/2 round wire, bezel wire and sheet (plus a bit of fused "raindrops") to handcraft this cabochon of natural UNAKITE (state stone of So. Carolina). Olive green (Epiote) and brick red (Feldspar), which contrast nicely with the polished metal. This pendant is 3" long (including bail) x 7/8" wide. Should anyone wish to consider additional information regarding this piece, or any of my "one-of-a-kind" pendants, just contact me...
